Rolls Royce has just launched the online configurator for the new Spectre. The rich and famous can now configure their bespoke versions of the brand’s first electric coupe. However, it will be a challenge for them as the Specter has a lot of options. Many choices are offered for almost every element of this vehicle. If you’re patient enough, you can create a truly stunning version of the Specter with all the bells and whistles.
It all starts with the spirit of ecstasy
Rolls-Royce says modern luxury yachts inspire the exterior design of the new Spectre. Although the overall silhouette of this new electric coupe is identical to other cars in the brand’s lineup, it has some unique aesthetics. For example, the design of the headlights and the grille are adapted to the Spectre, giving it a distinct identity. Additionally, the fastback-shaped roofline and various other aerodynamic tweaks allow the Specter to have a drag coefficient of 0.25 Cd, the lowest for any Rolls-Royce to date.
However, like all other products from this British marquee, the exterior of the new Specter comes with a host of customization options. You can even choose the type of Spirit of Ecstasy that would fit on the cowl of your Spectre: standard, illuminated, or illuminated. As for the exterior color of the car, you can choose between a monotonous or contrasting scheme. If you choose the latter, there are three styles. Both schemes have a bucket full of colors to choose from.
Just like the Spirit of Ecstasy, the grille of this Rolls-Royce also has an illuminated and standard version. The illuminated version uses 22 LEDs. These illuminate the rear face of each grille fin and help give the front of the Specter a unique look by creating three-dimensional signature lighting at night. Despite being an electric car, the Spectre’s grille channels air for better aerodynamics instead of providing cooling for a gas-powered powertrain.
As for the wheels, six styles are offered. Additionally, you can choose what kind of coachline you want on your Specter or if you prefer yours without. Of course, you can choose the color of the coach line. Rolls-Royce also lets you choose whether or not you want a rear window on your Spectre.
Customize the interior of the Rolls-Royce Specter for the ultimate in luxury
Just like the exterior, the interior of the new Specter also offers plenty of customization options. This Rolls-Royce has primary, secondary and tertiary color options for its cabin. In addition, you can choose individual colors for the seat headrest, seat back, seat reverse and seat piping. Similarly, many color choices are also available for the door panels of this vehicle.
In addition, several door panel designs are available. These include those with ambient lighting, star lighting, and canadel patterns. So, for example, if you were to choose the star lighting pattern for the doors of your Spectre, you would get 4,796 small lights, illuminating the door pads and creating the impression of “softly lit stars”. But, of course, like every other Rolls-Royce, this one also comes with the ‘Shooting Star’ headliner option.
You can also choose the star lighting option for the dashboard of this luxury coupe. If you did, it would illuminate the area with 5,500 lights and create a complete “starry night” ambiance inside your Specter’s cabin. In addition to the seats and doors, you can also choose individual colors for the center tunnel of your Spectre. Additionally, you can customize the color of the built-in umbrella that comes with the Spectre.
The Rolls-Royce Specter’s interior customization options don’t stop there. You also have the option of choosing the design and color of the steering wheel. Plus, you can even choose the color of the speedometer in the instrument cluster. The iconic analog clock on the dashboard of this luxury coupe is also available in four design options. Rolls-Royce also offers the option of choosing a bespoke audio system for the Spectre.
Here’s what you can’t customize in the new Spectrum
The rich and famous of this world would like everything to be bespoke. But there are a few things owners of the new Specter should just share with their counterparts. Every Specter comes with two electric motors that produce a combined 577 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque.
Those numbers might not seem as high as a corresponding Tesla or Lucid, but they’re enough to propel this 6,559-pound luxury coupe from 0-60 MPH in 4.4 seconds. Rolls-Royce estimates a range of 320 miles under the WLTP cycle for the Spectre.
