Michigan returned to the Big House this weekend and had a number of prospects in attendance, including several up-and-comers.

Canton (Mich.) Plymouth Offensive Lineman 2024 Idrys Cotton made an unofficial visit to Ann Arbor and came away very impressed.

“It was awesome,” Cotton told The Michigan Insider. “I really liked the facilities and the atmosphere.

The rising junior offensive lineman also had the opportunity to connect and chat with co-offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Sherrone Moore during his time, which also impressed.

“I really enjoyed talking to Coach Moore, the offensive line coach,” Cotton said. “He said he liked my movie and my performance in the classroom

“Coach Moore was a really cool person to be around and you can tell he obviously knows what he’s doing considering Michigan has one of the best offensive lines in the country.”

With his recruitment, the 6-foot-4, 280-pounder has yet to receive an offer, but has attracted interest from several schools like Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Toledo and Purdue.

As for his hometown Wolverines, the talented youngster says his interest in the program runs deep and is looking forward to continuing the recruiting process with them.

“I grew up in the Ann Arbor area and went to school there for most of my life, so Michigan has always been a special place to me.”
