Oklahoma City crews shut down road while battling fire

Crews battle a large fire at an auto salvage yard building in Oklahoma City. The fire was reported shortly after 9:20 a.m. Monday at A&A Auto Parts and Salvage in the 1300 block of South Robinson Avenue, just south of Interstate 40 near Southwest 15th Street. Authorities said the building was vacant. The intense flames caused part of the building to collapse. The building’s owner told KOCO 5 that the salvage yard has been a family business for more than 40 years and closed a few weeks ago to prepare for the auction. She also said no one was inside to her knowledge. Oklahoma City Fire Department officials told KOCO 5 they have closed Robinson Avenue. KOCO 5 will provide more information as it becomes available.
