An officer was assaulted by an 18-year-old who allegedly tried to sneak backstage at a concert.

LINCOLN, Neb. – An officer was assaulted by an 18-year-old who allegedly tried to sneak backstage at a concert.
The Lincoln Police Department said officers were dispatched to Pinnacle Bank Arena around 10:00 p.m. on November 12 after an officer was allegedly assaulted.
Officials said other officers were working at a concert held at the Arena and were told by security personnel that 18-year-old Patrick Bengston allegedly tried to sneak backstage at several occasions.
According to authorities, Bengston was taken out of the arena but tried to re-enter three more times. Bengston was arrested for trespassing after the third attempt.
Officers said Bengston allegedly tried to punch one of the officers in the face as he was being arrested, but the officer was able to dodge the blow and was unharmed.
LPD said Bengston was incarcerated for attempted assault on an officer, resisting arrest, criminal trespassing, obstructing a police officer and criminal mischief.
