Frankie Grande was “attacked and robbed” while in New York last week, it has been claimed.

The 39-year-old – brother of Ariana Grande – was walking around town on Wednesday night when he was rammed by two teenagers.

According to TMZ, a 17-year-old and a 13-year-old took the Titanic actor’s bag and attempted to use his credit card at a nearby smoking room before being taken into custody.

“On Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at approximately 6:30 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a robbery outside 689 8th Avenue within the Lower Manhattan borough limits,” an NYPD spokesperson told Metro. co.uk in a statement.

“A preliminary investigation has determined that a 39-year-old man was walking north on 8th Avenue when he was struck from behind by two men who removed his bag.

“The victim refused to receive medical treatment at the scene.

“Two individuals, a 13-year-old man and a 17-year-old man, were arrested a short distance away.”

They were both charged with two counts of robbery and robbery, as well as assault, unlawful use of a credit card, criminal possession of a weapon and stolen property, threats and of harassment.

The younger of the duo has also been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Frankie, who refused medical treatment after the incident, has yet to speak.

The former Celebrity Big Brother star is currently in New York as she stars in an incredible production of Titanic – a jukebox musical parody of Celine Dion from Titanic.

He recently lifted the lid on his latest stage adventures, telling Metro.co.uk it was an instant yes when the offer came along.

“It’s so silly and so up my alley. There was no other choice, I just said yes,” he enthused. “That’s the most fun, we have such a wonderful cast. We’re idiots behind the scenes, we’re idiots on stage.

“It’s nothing but a good time, to quote Rock of Ages, one of my other alma maters on Broadway.

“It really is so much fun, so much love. It’s the perfect thing for New Yorkers right now because we’re going through a crazy time in this country.

“It’s really good to come to the theater and laugh. It’s so cathartic and so freeing, people have fun.

Metro.co.uk has contacted representatives for Frankie for comment.
