Bandai Namco Trademark Seemingly Confirms Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 5

Ninja Storm 4

“Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections” might be the game leaked earlier this year.

A new Bandai Namco trademark might be the first concrete proof we have that Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 5 is on the way.

The trademark, filed with the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO) on November 14 (according to Reddit user TheRidiculousOtaku) and currently under review and pending approval, is for “Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections.” . That would mean a slight name change for the long-running fighting game series Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm, which features various characters from the hit anime.

Trademarks are not necessarily indicative of upcoming games, although we should note that Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections was a trademark for various potential products, including video games. Companies often register brand names in order to prevent their trademark being trademarked by competing companies. That said, a leak from earlier this year indicated that Bandai Namco should announce the next game in the Ultimate Ninja Storm series by the end of the year.

In April, anime insider Senju in Japan announced a rumored new Naruto fighting game currently in development at Bandai Namco. Senju is well known for leaking inside information and has previously reported on anime-related games such as Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles.

According to Senju, Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 5 has been in development for over a year now, and Bandai Namco is planning a reveal for late 2022. Senju was unable to provide any further details on the upcoming fighter, although fan speculation had Ninja Storm. 5 takes place immediately after the events of Ninja Storm 5’s Boruto DLC. Given the branded title “Connections”, it seems more likely that the next Ninja Storm game will focus on the next generation of Naruto characters.

When asked about the credibility of such a rumor, gaming reporter PS360HD2 seemed to confirm the rumor to fans. “As believable as possible,” they said of Senju. “Trust me, it’s happening.”

Bandai Namco has yet to make an official announcement, so as always, take those rumors with a grain of salt.
